For children with special needs, 3-5 yrs, who have not had a previous preschool experience and their parent(s)/caregiver(s).

About this event

Going to school for the first time is a family experience!

Join us for this fun introduction to school for young children with special needs who have not had a previous preschool experience. Take a peek at typical kindergarten activities and routines each day.

There will be opportunities for children to practice social, language, fine motor skills and gross motor skills that are connected to kindergarten activities. Support to enhance student success will be provided by TVCC clinicians and volunteers.

Space will be limited. Participants will be selected based on their needs and goals and space available. Please put your name on the waiting list if the program is full as spots may become available.

Parents will participate in group discussions about kindergarten, preparation for transitions, school processes, parent/school relationships and curriculum.

*There is a Getting Ready for School - Online Series, being offered in June for PARENTS only, if you are unable to attend this in-person program.
